This teardrop camper was named after the best pet a boy could have, Sherman the Box Turtle.

 

One of the most intelligent turtles around, Sherman shared the basement bedroom with me for years. He survived a dog attack, getting dropped by neighborhood kids, many different “paintings” on his shell, and getting lost multiple times. Sherman formally left the family (escaped from the backyard) a few weeks after I met my future wife Rachel. I think he sensed that he was getting replaced and left for greener pastures. I have always told my wife that I couldn’t have dealt with the loss of Sherman had she not come into my life at the same time to fill the void.

 

May the many adventures with friends in “Sherman the Teardrop” honor the fun and memorable times had with a great friend, “Sherman the Turtle”.
